- How did you come across the story of JoEllen and why did you decide to make a film about her story?
- Although there may have been similar stories, it seems Donor Unknown was able to capture a particular moment where the influence and reach of technology and media helped connect the people – like the Donor Siblings Registry and the New York Times article about JoEllen’s story. Do you think such influences helped bring out a better story than what could have been five or ten years ago?
