Donor Unknown had its special preview screening at Sheffield Doc/Fest on Friday 5 November 2010 and official World Premiere on Saturday 6 November.

The panel discussion at Sheffield Doc/Fest

The film, shown at The Showroom cinema, was screened to a sell-out audience of more than 200 on two consecutive days..

The film's director Jerry Rothwell introduced the film, and answered questions, with the film's scientific advisor Dr Allan Pacey, after the Friday screening.

One member of the audience said they found it: "a funny and subtle story about identity, genetic inheritance and the slightly unnerving future of the modern family".
