United States (US) e-Commerce Giant Amazon is testing payment technology without cashiers for shops with greater space. Amazon is experimenting with the technology at the company's headquarters in Seattle, USA, Sunday (12/02/2018).

Thus the Wall Street Journal report (WSJ) as reported by Reuters on Monday (12/03/2018). So far, the technology works well in a small shop format. However, the technology is more difficult to use in larger spaces with higher ceilings accompanied by more production.

Payment technology without cashiers that already operates in several Amazon Go stores, allows buyers to buy goods through the help of smart phone applications. You do this by tracking what they took from the shelves and the items included in the basket.

Then, the bill will go through the buyer's credit card after they leave the store. Amazon did not immediately reply to a request to comment on the WSJ report.

Some time ago, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos delivered a message to employees. The essence of the message actually conveys the direction of the company's goals.

At a meeting on Thursday two weeks ago in Seattle, an employee asked Bezos about Amazon's future. In particular, the questioner wanted to know free sports streaming what lessons Bezos learned from the Sears bankruptcy and other major retailers recently.

"Amazon is not too big to fail," Bezos said in a recording of a meeting heard by CNBC International. "In fact, I predict that someday Amazon will fail. Amazon will go bankrupt. If you see big companies, their life span tends to be more than 30 years, not more than a hundred years."
