Long dresses have been neglected too long. Yes a floor length gown says fancy but that doesn't always have to be the truth. If you wear a long dress in casual fabric with a similar tone in your accessories you are set to rock the lengthy frock out to a nice lunch, dinner or bar. Look at Agyness Deyn in her fun black dress. The fabric is a casual jersey as well as the button details down the center front of her dress. To make this look even more informal have the hem of the dress end at about the ankles or even calves. Often a fun or funky print will give an elongated dress a casual feel about it. You can find these laid back long dresses at cheap stores like Wet Seal and Forever 21 as well as posh boutiques.
The Birkin bag was named after British actress Jane Birkin in 1984 and has been sought after as a status symbol by women worldwide ever since. There is even a Sex And the City episode based on Samantha Jones trying desperately to bypass the two year plus waiting list by declaring the bag is for a celebrity client. A good plan considering Birkins are regularly spotted on the wrists of the famous, such as Victoria Beckham, Katie Holmes, and "Desperate Housewives" actress Eva Longoria. But Samantha's plan was quite unnecessary. Something I already suspected has been confirmed by Michael Tonello, a beautician turned fashion buyer in a recent Yahoo News article that advertises his new book, "Bringing Home the Birkin." Michael Tonello devised a system to bypass the list and has spent five years traveling between different Herms stores purchasing Birkin bags to profit from its ridiculous demand and outing Herms' marketing ploy. "I would go into a store with a list in my Herms Ulysse notebook and pile up scarves, shawls, bracelets, worth about $2,000. This made me seem a regular Herms client," Tonello tells Reuters in a telephone interview. "Once I had that pile ready to buy at the last moment I ask for a Birkin and they would usually produce one of the back room. In 2005 I bought 130 Birkins in a three month period and you tell me there is a waiting list?" In his book coming out this month, he says he still possesses receipts to back his story and a spokeswoman for Herms in Australia, Nicole Morgan, said the company was making no official comment on Tonello book. this bag is ugly.

Yes with the clothes of course or I wouldn't be writing about it, but I enjoyed the swear words and nudity on the site. They are really embracing their motto,

Besides super cool sunglasses, dresses and shorts, they also have a wealth of fabulous jeans including a pair of the "must have" color for summer: orange. Fabulous!

The premiere of Smart People, hosted by the Cinema Society and Linda Wells at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema and the Bowery Hotel, had quite the turn out of people and interesting fashion. It ranged from oddly out dated and boring to classic chic (Cynthia Nixon) and fun fashion. The last category contained Jane Fonda and Sarah Jessica Parker,
Louis Vuitton Belts, of course. Although not my favorite look, Ms. Parker certainly caught many an eye with her lame leggings, hourglass dress and hot pink jacket by Jil Sander. Kudos for going all out Sarah. Jane Fonda took on a completely different look, but had the same flare of lots o' clothes. She embraced the Stevie Nicks look with earth tones, a long a dress with asymmetrical edges, boots and a large scarf. Very New Mexico and once again, although never an outfit I would wear, kudos for going all out on a limb. May the bough never break for the fashionably courageous.
Yes my darlings it is summer and it is time to answer the age old question of what to put on your feet when you hot. It is so easy to slip on those stinky old sandals when you want to go casual and there is nothing wrong with that, but let's talk about the days when you really want to mix it up. Although not especially flattering, the gladiator sandal has become incredibly popular and has been seen on many a famous person including Nicky Hilton. Comfy and acceptable, this simple leather shoe is a unique way to walk about town, but it bores me. If I am going to indulge in this style I am going straight for the knee high gladiator sandal by Chanel, pictured here. Sexy, strong and worth a gander, I cannot wait to see if these monstrosities are comfortable. Tips on wearing them? Wear a short skirt/dress or shorts with them to elongate the legs. The flat sole and ankle straps really shortens your leg so you will want everything you pair with these shoes to be creating the illusion of height.
I am loving wearing socks with heels. You have seen the look in lots of Ads and such, but it was spring Ads as well as their catwalk that really burned it into my mind. How do you pull it off? Well, I like doing the black heel with the matching black socks, but you can use shoes with color as well. Now you can use open toe or closed toe heels, but when you do the open toe make sure it has an ankle strap, other wise it will look unattractive and your socked foot won't stay in your heel anyways. When you do the closed toe or peep toe, I think the most stylish way to go is with a heeled bootie or the modern version of the grandma heel. Gucci has a fab pink and black grandma shoe that I would love to pair with some black socks. It's a good way to use color too. Now the type of sock to wear is available at any department store and resembles a man's dress sock. It has to be thin enough to fit in your heel, but thick enough to NOT be see thru. Make sure it is a quality sock. It should stop on your leg about four inches above your anklebone. Lastly, wear it with a short dress or some fancy shorts. Burberry did a pretty good job with half the outfits they sent down the runway. I just wish they didn ruin them with those sunglasses.
A style I am totally drawn to right now is that trashy, mod, rocker,
Gucci Mens Belts, kinda Amy Winehouse look. I love this Lynn Ban Necklace here featured in Bazaar. Adore the big blonde hair, dark dark lashes and big gold hoops on Lindsey Lohan here. And we dare not forget this Frankie B Ad. Although I adore chic, clean lines and Audrey Hepburn, I must say nothing says stylishly cool like a harder edge to an outfit. This is probably why I like this particular photo spread with Linz over here. The feminine Versace dress combined with make up and accessories mixes the hard with the soft. I always said you can still look pretty when being a bad ass. Make up and hair is key to this look. The hair needs to be big and your eyes dark. And a tip to keep in mind when dressing for this style, is make sure you're comfortable and your face is fresh. You don't want to look dirty; you want to look confident and stylish. Of course, your clothes must fit you really well and I would prefer it if you didn smoke. That just me though.

But I was shocked to see in Bazaar a photo spread and article on the young woman aboutnothing. They asked her some questions, she answered and then they did a full blown photo spread of mediocre fashions on a kinda cute girl. What is she like? Cocky and young, not stupid,

Spot on for 2008's warm season. If you are wondering what safe fashion risk (please excuse my oxymoron), to wear this summer, take a gander at their modern cat suit in a very fashionable neutral hue. The belt, the elastic leg hem and accessorized straps is a lovely way to go casual glamorous. Reminder, notice how the neutral color is two or three shades lighter than Gisele's skin tone. To avoid looking washed out you must choose a neutral tone that is either a few shades lighter or darker. If you want go dressy, I absolutely adore this bold colored cocktail dress with that amazing neckline. Very sexy. Thank you Versace for impressing me. The fashion ads these days that are gracing my Vogue and Bazaar haven't been that fabulous.????????
